The application of alkali-resistant bricks in cement kilns

May 25, 2022

What is a resistant brick?

Alkali-resistant bricks for cement kilns refer to clay-based refractory bricks that are made of low-aluminum refractory clay as the main raw material and have the characteristics of alkali erosion resistance in cement kiln systems. The main raw materials used in alkali-resistant bricks are coke gemstone, pyrophyllite, silica, etc. The alkali-resistant mechanism of alkali-resistant bricks is that they will react with alkali metal oxides at high temperatures to form a high-viscosity liquid phase, forming a glazed protective layer, covering the surface of the bricks to block surface pores to prevent alkali metal melts. Infiltration and erosion, it has the purpose of resisting alkali erosion.

The application of alkali-resistant bricks in cement kilns

Ordinary alkali-resistant bricks are mainly used in cement kiln preheaters, calciner tertiary air ducts and other parts.
High-strength alkali-resistant bricks are mainly used in cement kiln preheaters, precalciners, tertiary air ducts, vertical rising flues, cyclone tubes, and cones.
Vaulted alkali-resistant bricks are mainly used in cement kiln preheaters, calciner tertiary air ducts, etc.
Thermal insulation alkali-resistant bricks are mainly used in the rear kiln mouth, kiln door cover and cooler of cement kiln.
