Insulating castable
Jun 27, 2022
Thermal insulation castables and thermal insulation castables belong to lightweight castables, also known as lightweight thermal insulation castables.
Insulation castables are mainly made up of lightweight refractory aggregates, powders, and binder additives.
Insulation castables can be divided into:
Semi-light thermal insulation castable, bulk density is 1.0~1.8g/cm³;
Lightweight refractory castable with a bulk density of 0.4~1.0g/cm³;
Ultra-lightweight refractory castable with a bulk density of less than 0.4g/cm³.
The lower the density, the better the thermal insulation performance, and the higher the price. Insulation castables have a wide range of applications. In the lining of furnaces, thermal equipment, flues and smoke windows in industrial sectors such as metallurgy, machinery, petrochemicals, electric power and building materials, thermal insulation castables are generally used as insulation layers.
Features:
This series of products are classified into corundum, spinel, high alumina mullite and so on according to the main materials. According to the construction method, it can be divided into pouring, ramming, plastic and so on. Compared with traditional shaped ladle bricks, thermal insulation castables have the advantages of convenient and fast construction, excellent integrity, higher high temperature strength and slag corrosion resistance, excellent volume stability, and are not prone to deformation and spalling. The plastic repair bag has the characteristics of convenient and flexible construction, simple and fast maintenance and baking, and is especially suitable for small and complex ladle.
Advantages of Lightweight Insulation Castables
1: High temperature resistance and high strength.
2: The thermal conductivity is low.
3: The bulk density is small, which reduces the heat consumption of the kiln.
4: The construction is convenient and labor intensity is reduced.
5: The texture is light, reducing the weight of the kiln lining.
