Characteristics of big size fire clay brick for glass furnace
Jun 15, 2022
The low-porosity clay brick is a refractory product made of high-quality coke gemstone as the main raw material. Its performance is comprehensively upgraded. Hot blast stove, glass stove regenerator is widely used.
Low-porosity clay brick for glass kiln is a kind of refractory clay brick. It is mainly made of high alumina bauxite and coke gemstone as the main raw materials. Low-porosity clay products made by kiln firing after refining, molding and drying, the porosity is generally lower than 17%.
Characteristics of low-porosity clay bricks
1. Low apparent porosity and strong compactness.
2. Good permeability and corrosion resistance.
3. High temperature strength and long service life.
Glass kiln low porosity clay brick application
Low-porosity clay bricks are mainly used in the regenerator of glass kilns. They can also be used in blast furnaces and hot blast furnaces in the iron and steel industry; cement kilns in the building materials industry; chemical kilns in the chemical industry as kiln linings.
There are many varieties and specifications of low-porosity clay bricks, mainly including three low-porosity clay bricks (DDD), low-porosity clay bricks (DN-12, DN-15) and ordinary clay bricks (N-1, N-2a), which can be widely used in Glass kiln, blast furnace, hot blast stove, cement kiln, chemical kiln and other thermal equipment.
Large-scale clay bricks for glass kilns are clay refractory bricks with a single weight of not less than 50kg used for masonry glass kilns.
This standard also makes the following provisions on the section spalling of bricks:
(1) The section of the brick is cracked:
1) Bricks with a length of ≤400mm: when the width of the spallation is 0.26 to 0.50mm, the length is not more than 40mm; the width of the spallation is 0.51
~1mm, the length is not more than 25mm.
2) Bricks with length > 400mm: when the width of spallation is 0.26, 0.50mm, the length is not. More than 80mm; when the spall width is 0.51 to 1mm, the length is not more than 50mm.
(2) For cracks with a width of less than 0.25mm, the length is not limited.
(3) There shall be no pores and cracks larger than 1mm on the section.
