There are two kinds of separation devices for glass liquid: shallow separation and deep separation. The shallow separation has necks and cooling water pipes; the deep separation has furnace barriers and so on. The function of the liquid glass separation equipment is to prevent the unmelted batch scum and other objects from the melting part from flowing into the cooling part, adjust the convection halo of the molten glass, reduce energy consumption and reduce the temperature of the molten glass.
(1) Card neck
"Clamp neck" refers to the narrowed section of the kiln between the end of the melting section and the front gable of the cooling section. It is a kind of separation device used in conjunction with low ceilings and hanging walls.
The main functions of the neck neck have three aspects: one is to organize the fluid flow, so that the glass liquid can be further homogenized from "compression" to "pressure release"; work system. Space separation + good melting furnace, the colder air flow into the melting part is not conducive to high temperature clarification, and the hot air flow into the cooling part will hinder the absorption of floating bubbles by the glass liquid, and this kind of air flow is especially obvious during fire exchange The third is to play a cooling role, the glass liquid through the neck can be cooled by about 100 °C, and the clarified glass liquid has a sudden temperature drop. The agitation of the molten glass immediately after the sudden cooling can maintain the temperature uniformity of the molten glass forming flow.
After the kiln is narrowed, the corner where the melting part enters the neck is severely eroded by the glass liquid. Therefore, the 41s oxidation method with high density and good corrosion resistance should be selected to strengthen the masonry of fused zirconium corundum bricks. The pool wall after entering the neck is built with fused zirconium corundum bricks reinforced by 33s or 36s oxidation method, and its external dimensions are the same as those of the melting part.
(2) Cooling water pipe
In order to prevent the unmelted batch materials and other objects from the melting part from entering the cooling part, a water bag separation device is often installed in the molten glass at the junction of the melting part and the cooling part. The cooling water pipe is a commonly used water bag separation equipment, that is, the seamless steel pipe with cooling water is placed horizontally in the glass liquid surface layer at the neck, and 3/4~2/3 of the cross section of the water pipe is immersed in the glass liquid, 1 /4~1/3 exposed on the liquid surface. After the glass liquid near the water pipe is cooled, it forms a non-fluid layer with high viscosity, which forms a surface barrier to block the glass liquid surface, which can reduce the circulating convection of the glass liquid to a certain extent and block some unmelted liquid on the liquid surface. Good scum. When the water pressure of the cooling water pipe is 0.25~0.3MPa, the surface glass liquid can be cooled by about 30℃. If used properly, the cooling water pipe can not only cool the temperature, but also have a good energy saving effect; when used improperly, the temperature of the molten glass on the width of the kiln will be uneven. The main disadvantage is that the water consumption is large and the energy consumption is also increased. Usually the outlet water temperature of the cooling water pipe is controlled below 55°C.
(3) Kiln ridge
The kiln sill refers to a device that raises a certain part of the pool bottom to a certain height in the form of a threshold or a slope (step) at different parts of the bottom of the pool after the clarification part of the furnace. It is commonly used to set a slope (step) type kiln sill where the melting part enters the neck and set a slope (step) type kiln sill where the neck enters the cooling part.
The function of the kiln sill: First, it plays the role of shallow clarification, forcing the glass liquid flow in the clarification zone to flow through the upper layer of the kiln and form a thin layer, so that the temperature of the glass liquid can be further increased, which is conducive to the elimination of air bubbles, which can greatly speed up the clarification. Speed and improve the quality of the molten glass; second, the kiln sill can prolong the residence time of the molten glass in the melting pool, and can prevent the dirty material at the bottom of the pool from flowing to the working part; the third is to reduce the heat loss of the convection of the molten glass and reduce energy consumption.
The kiln sill set below the maximum temperature zone of the melting section does not belong to the previous type. Its function is to avoid the uneven quality of the molten glass caused by the fluctuation of melting temperature by stabilizing the movement trajectory of the feeding backflow and the forming backflow in the kiln. This is a measure to improve the uniformity of flat glass, which is built with zirconium corundum bricks, which are available in solid and hollow forms.
